Fees vary depending on the service but most are based on a sliding fee scale. Medicaid, BCBS, and other insurances are billed for covered services. No one is refused services due to inability to pay.

What is WIC?

A Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children. It serves to safeguard the health of low-income women, infants, & children up to age 5 who are at nutritional risk by providing nutritious foods to supplement diets, information on healthy eating, and referrals to health care.

WIC supplies extra food and nutrition education for:

• Pregnant women

• New mothers - breastfeeding mothers up to one year

• Infants - under 1 year old

• Children - 1 to 5 years old

Eligibility requirements for WIC are:

• Income - House hold income less than 185% of the poverty level. Income eligibility varies depending on the number of people in your household.

• Residency - You must live in Kansas.

• Must be pregnant, breastfeeding, postpartum woman, infant, or child up to five years old.
